The UT research expo was held from the 2nd of March till the 4th of March, 2015. More than 250 achievements in the various fields of researches were presented.

In this expo the “Design of the RoboParrot for Autism Screening and Therapy (ASAST)” was selected as one of the best research projects at UT.

RoboParrot has been designed to interact with autistic children for screening and rehabilitation. It has been tested on a few autistic children to get their response to the robot. This novel design allows the researchers to use this platform beyond the autism screening and therapy. It can be used to test concept such as machine learning and human-robot interaction. Furthermore, it can be used as an entertainment platform. This design is one of the few designs inspired from birds.
